FISHING

Hi members, welcome to Coronation Angling Clubs official website.

We are a small Derby based Angling Club that have select members wanting to simply enjoy fishing a few matches as well as have good camaraderie on the bank.

Here we will keep you informed with any latest news, the match fixtures, venues, match results and league tables, as well as having a gallery to share our good (and sometimes bad) days fishing.

About
LATEST NEWS

The 2026 season has begun and we fished our 1st league match at a new venue, Sookholme ponds on the large lake.

The weather on the day was not kind to us and a lot found it difficult to seek some fish. Congratulations to SHANE BURROWS who won with 59lb 4oz.

Also congratulations to JAM RANDLE who won from B divsion having also the golden peg.

Our next fixture and the 2nd league match is at Little John Lakes in Ollerton on Maid Marrion lake. Draw at 08:00, fish 09:30-15:30.

This shows all past winners from every season since the club was founded in 1961.

I will try and keep the website regularly updated and any photos are welcomed to put in the gallery if you pass them onto myself.

If you have any website requests or ideas for changes I will be happy to listen,   thanks Dave Mann (match secretary)

MATCH FIXTURES 2026

After the AGM held at the start of 2025, the fixtures for this year were selected from the most popular venues chosen by each member in a 'blind ballot'.

Dates have been set so there is a match every 3 weeks and I would like to stick to this every year as it works well and avoids all bank holidays.

There will be 10 competitive matches (9 Sunday, 1 Saturday) which will make up a league.

Points will be taken from the best 8 results out of 10 for the A + B division league titles.

There will be the usual day after the annual 'hangover' match, the Wednesday afternoon 'friendly' match and a river 'friendly' match.
