4th league match
31/05/2026
KIVETON WATERS
(Rose's Lake)
Draw 08:00 - Fish 09:30-15:30
+ Knock-out quarter finals if you unattended the 3rd league match
This is a prolific match and pleasure venue just outside the village of Kiveton, very close to Junction 31 of the M1. There are three lakes on site, with 80 generously spaced, comfortable pegs in total. The main match lake, Roses Pool, is home to the biggest fish on site, with carp ranging from 3lb to 20lb, but the average stamp being 6lb-10lb. In here there’s also a generous head of skimmers and other silvers too. The two other lakes are stocked full of smaller carp, 2lb to 4lb, with a good helping of larger fish to well over double figures.
All the lakes are spacious, with reed lined margins and depths sloping away from shallow edges to a maximum of 7 feet in the middle. All kinds of tactics work on here, of course pole fishing, as well as waggler and feeder. The back lake at the venue has a lovely island to target, and is not match fished very often, being a favourite for pleasure anglers with beautifully conditioned carp to catch.
Access wise, there is a main car park and you can drive all the way around the venue, parking behind almost every swim. There is a small on-site café, bait shack and tackle den that can supply you with essential terminal items. The brilliantly stocked Aston Park Angling centre is just a few minutes drive away if there are any key items or bait you require at short notice.
