RIVER TRENT
- Stoke Bardolph
Draw 08:00 - Fish 09:30-15:30

If its unspoiled rivers you like then the section above Stoke Lock and Weir is for you. Just like a chapter out of “Fishing with Mr Crabtree” The river holds all the usual variety of fish you would expect with plenty of fine specimens, it is unspoilt and overgrown with overhanging willows, you will have make your own peg.
Please don't hack the undergrowth away more than is necessary and be aware that the hardcore track along this section is in fact a Public Footpath no vehicles allowed, members fishing here must not obstruct the track with equipment.

Cars must be parked in the Anglers car park just prior to Stoke Lock Wood. Anglers are advised to go light or take a barrow as the section above the weir is a two hundred yard walk. The stretch can be accessed via the gated road from Stoke Bardolph near the Ferry Boat Inn. The Weir itself is accessed via the same route. Walk over the Lock Gates onto the Island.

The road stretch is our day ticket water with 39 permanent pegs.
Day Tickets are the road stretch ONLY.
Matches may be booked on Nelsons field and Ferry Field as well as the road section.

Ferry Field below the Lock is accessed through the gated road as described above cars can be parked behind your peg or preferably at the side of the tarmac road especially when wet.
Nelson Field downstream of the Road Stretch is accessed via the gated road adjacent to Burton Joyce Railway station and crossing.
Cars are to be left adjacent to the tarmac road and parked off the road behind the hedge running alongside the railway. The Rack and Cherry Orchard is through Nelson Field over the cattle grid turn immediate right and follow the dirt track to the river a gate with Ashfields Lock is now visible once in this field cars can be left behind your peg. This section can be very wet and boggy in places following flood.
